Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives owing to the fire tragedy in Hyderabad which occurred on Sunday (May 18, 2025) morning. Wishing speedy recovery for those injured in the accident, the Prime Minister announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh from PMNRF to the next of relatives of each deceased and ₹50,000 for those injured.

“Deeply anguished by the loss of lives due to a fire tragedy in Hyderabad, Telangana. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon,” the Prime Minister’s office posted on X.
