Hyderabad college student leaps to death from hostel terrace

An engineering college student committed suicide by jumping from the terrace of a 12-storey hostel building. Police are yet to find why he resorted to the extreme step.

A first year college student was found dead on the premises of VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology campus hostel at Bachupally, near Hyderabad on Thursday morning.

The student, Shiva Nagu (18), hails from Nagarkurnool district. According to Bachupally SI Shiva Shankar, the boy jumped from the terrace of a 12-storey hostel building. The SI said that he suffered multiple injuries and died on the spot.
