"Jury Duty" creators faced a major challenge after the 2023 hoax reality show's smash success, secretly filming an entire — fake — court case around one unsuspecting jury member.
How can you possibly repeat such an elaborate TV deception again? Especially after the Freevee limited series went viral enough to require a Season 2.
The jig was surely up, right?
The apparent solution was to start from scratch and go bigger with Prime Video's "Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat" (first three episodes streaming March 20).
"We did something no one had done before in Season 1," returning executive producer Nicholas Hatton tells USA TODAY. "So we were armed with the knowledge that this was possible to pull off. But we're even more ambitious and took bigger swings this season, which is frightening."
