Bihar’s Leader of Opposition, Tejaswi Yadav, has hit out at the BJP, questioning how the Hindus in the country are in danger when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are themselves Hindus.
When the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, and all the chiefs of three wings of defence are Hindus, how is the community in danger in the country? Yadav asked.
Tejaswi, who addressed a gathering of people from the Bhumihar and the Brahmin community in Patna today on the occasion of Parshuram Jayanti, said that the BJP is deliberately propagating a wrong narrative that Hindus are in danger to divert from real issues like price rise, unemployment, farmer issues and migration.
“When the prime minister, the home minister, the Bihar chief minister, and the chiefs of the three defence wings are Hindus, how are Hindus in danger? There is an ongoing debate on the issue of loudspeakers and bulldozers but nobody is talking about the real issues,” Tejaswi Yadav said, lashing out at the BJP.

The RJD leader further tried to woo the Bhumihar and Brahmin communities - till now considered as the core vote bank of the BJP - to support the RJD.
The RJD leader reminded the Bhumihar community how his party gave tickets to five people from the community in the recently held MLC elections in the state, of which three emerged victorious.
