Dagdi Chawl, located in south Mumbai and home to underworld don ‘Daddy’, is being redeveloped. The cluster of ten chawls will reportedly be replaced by two skyscrapers in a few years.
Dagdi Chawl, home to underworld don Arun Gawli alias Daddy, is all set to be redeveloped. This cluster of ten four-storied chawls will reportedly be replaced by two 40-storied skyscrapers in the next few years. The chawls are already surrounded by swanky buildings in Agripada area of south Mumbai. MHADA Chairman (Repair Board) Vinod Ghosalkar stated, “All the buildings in Dagdi Chawl are owned by Gawli and his family. They came to MHADA with a proposal and we have given the Letter of Intent (LOI) for the redevelopment of Dagdi Chawl.”More Related News
