A Pune court has sent Hindu religious leader Kalicharan Maharaj to fourteen-day judicial custody after he allegedly engaged in hate speech in Pune in December 2021.
A Pune court has sent Hindu religious leader Kalicharan Maharaj to fourteen-day judicial custody after he allegedly engaged in hate speech in Pune in December 2021. He spent a day in police custody on Thursday.
He has filed for bail and the court will hear the plea on Friday before announcing its judgment.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
