The police detained Hindu Munnani members who were protesting the Tamil Nadu government's ban on Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in public places.
Some activists of Hindu Munnani were detained on Friday for allegedly defying the Tamil Nadu government's ban on Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in public places. Protesting the state government's decision, Hindu Munnani members placed Ganpati idols outside the Vellore collectorate and offered prayers. The protestors also raised slogans against the Tamil Nadu government for denying them permission to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in public places.More Related News
