
Himachal’s tourism sector hit again by rain days after reopening post lockdown

Tourism in Himachal Pradesh, which resumed after days of standstill due to Covid-induced curbs, has been hit again due to heavy rains and flash floods.
Till Sunday, Vinod (35), a taxi operator in Bhagsunag area of Himachal Pradesh's Dharamshala, was happy carrying tourists on his vehicle he got financed a couple of years back. But the flash flood in Bhagsunag on Monday washed away his only means to make ends meet along with his and a dozen other vehicles.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
