With high Test Positivity Rate (TPR) and hospitalisation concerns, here's how infection hubs Delhi and Mumbai fare in Covid 3.0.
Two major metropolitan cities in India have also turned out to be major hubs of Covid infection. Delhi and Mumbai have walked hand in hand since the pandemic began. While Delhi recorded 7,918 cases and 127 deaths per lakh population, Mumbai registered 7,444 cases and 132 deaths per lakh population. Testing in both cities have been 1.7 lakh and 1.2 lakh per lakh population respectively.
However, Mumbai pipped Delhi in terms of vaccination, and now we see both cities travelling on different trajectories in the third wave. While 68 per cent of the population in Mumbai is fully vaccinated, the number for Delhi is 60 per cent.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
