Telangana High Court quashes model code of conduct violation case against BJP MP Raghunandan Rao in Nagargjunasagar byelection.
Justice K. Lakshman of Telangana High Court on Tuesday quashed a case of model code of conduct violation registered against BJP Medak MP M. Raghunandan Rao. The case was registered against him during his campaign in Nagargjunasagar Assembly constituency byelection in 2021. Peddavoora Mandal Parishad Development Officer D. Shyam lodged a complaint alleging that Mr. Rao addressed meetings and participated in election campaign at Vutlapally and Pulicherla villages without obtaining permission from the authorities. The case was pending on the file of a special court for trying cases against MLAs and MPs at Hydrerabad.
