Heavy rainfall triggers landslide on Rishikesh-Badrinath Highway

A landslide occurred on the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway as heavy rainfall continued to lash parts of Uttarakhand for the third consecutive day.

A landslide triggered by heavy rainfall occurred on Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway on Friday. Several vehicles were stranded and many others were damaged as boulders tumbled down, blocking the roads in the area. The highway has been closed in Sirobagad and Narkota areas of Rudraprayag district as heavy rainfall lashed parts of Uttarakhand on Thursday.
