“I won’t respond to jokers. There is no point in responding to people, who dont even know the issue,” Mr. Kumaraswamy said, referring to his friend-turned-foe Mr. Cheluvarayaswamy’s reported statement blaming former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda for the loss of IIT to Mandya.
“Does he know what IIT means? Should I reply to such jokers,” Mr Kumaraswamy asked.
With regard to setting up of an farm university in Mandya, Mr. Kumaraswamy said he had already welcomed the move to set up such a varsity in Mandya.
However, as an Agriculture Minister, he should first check the status of VC Farm. “What is the condition of the farm and its staff? Does he know that,” Mr. Kumaraswamy said.
Referring to Mr. Cheluvarayaswamy’s claims that he brought medical college and KSRTC division to Mandya, Mr. Kumaraswamy said the Agriculture Minister was not a Minister for even six months back in 2004. “He would not let me go home even at 3 a.m.”, Mr Kumaraswamy said before remarking that his health was ruined by staying around such people.
