Haven't received it yet: BJP's Tejashvi Surya as Congress sends 10 dosas after viral video amid Bengaluru flood

After a video of BJP MP Tejashvi Surya eating a 'dosa' amid floods in Bengaluru went viral, Congress sent 10 dosas to the south Bengaluru MP. Tejashvi Surya said he has not yet received the dosa parcel.
A day after Congress workers sent 10 different dosas from top hotels in Bengaluru to BJP MP Tejashvi Surya, the latter lashed out at the opposition, saying that he hasn't received dosas yet. Congress hit out at Bengaluru south MP Tejasvi Surya for reviewing a masala dosa while the city was drowning in flood.
Tejasvi Surya was trolled and criticised by a section of social media users accusing him of relishing dosa and promoting an eatery in his constituency, when many parts of the city have been reeling under torrential rains and floods. The Congress party targeted him for eating dosa and called him 'irresponsible' for enjoying dosa when the city drowned.
After being slammed by Congress for enjoying dosas, the BJP leader claimed that he is yet to receive the parcel of 'Masala dosa' and said the party scammed here as well.
Taking to his Twitter handle, he wrote, "Congress held a presser yesterday and announced they have sent Masala Dosa parcel to my house. It’s been more than 24 hours & I still haven’t received it. They have scammed here as well. They can’t deliver a dosa properly and they dream of delivering good governance!" (sic)

As Eid-ul-Fitr approaches, thousands of Indian workers in Gulf nations are unable to return home due to flight cancellations, exorbitant fares and job security concerns amid tensions involving the US, Israel and Iran. Families in India are bracing for a subdued festival marked by absence and anxiety.

Two years ago, former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina warned of an alleged plot by a 'white man' to establish a Christian state. In 2025, the Mizoram CM said Ukraine war veterans were using the state to enter Myanmar. The arrest of 7 foreign nationals by the NIA has prompted experts to suggest that the incidents might be connected.

Pradyut Bordoloi was a dyed-in-the-wool Congressi who vowed to never leave the party. The physical attack on him in 2025, and the Congress embracing "communal elements" pushed the Lok Sabha MP into joining the BJP. Bordoloi's exit from the Congress after three decades is significant for the party and Assam's politics.
