Three men have been arrested by Haryana police from a village in Sonipat for alleged ties with pro-Khalistan outfits.
Haryana police have arrested three men with suspected ties to pro-Khalistani outfits. The arrests were made on Saturday from Juan village in Haryana's Sonipat district.
Sagar alias Binni, Sunil alias Pahalwan and Jatin alias Rajesh - the three men arrested for alleged involvement in contract killings in Punjab were in touch with pro-Khalistani outfits on social media, claims Haryana Police.
The three accused have been booked under sections 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), along with Section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Arms Act.

Investigators familiar with the case also said that the three men were receiving funding and arms from overseas to aid terror activities in Punjab and other parts of the country.
An AK-47 assault rifle, along with three foreign-made pistols and live cartridges were recovered during raids in Mohali and Ropar on December 8 last year in connection with the same case.
The arrests on Saturday came less than 24 hours before voting is to be held for Punjab's 117-member legislative assembly.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
