
Haryana CM inaugurates underpass, flyover and other development projects in Gurugram

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday inaugurated the HUDA City Centre Metro Station underpass and flyover in Gurugram. He also inaugurated two foot overbridges.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday inaugurated the HUDA City Centre Metro Station underpass and flyover along with foot overbridges on Signature Tower and IFFCO Chowk intersections.
The projects inaugurated today will ease traffic congestion and make the journey of people comfortable. The underpass, flyover and foot overbridges were constructed by Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) at a cost of Rs 52 crore.
“Gurugram is Haryana’s gateway to the world and we have to ensure that it is developed as a futuristic city in all regards. The projects inaugurated today will provide better connectivity and mobility in addition to easing congestion”, Khattar said.
He also inaugurated the civic water supply project, under which water will be supplied to people in sectors 111-115.
By 2031, nearly 93,000 people will get the benefit of canal water supply from this project. Till now, people living in these sectors have been dependent on water supply from tankers.
On the occasion, Khattar also announced that the Rao Birender Singh Sports Complex, an ultra-modern sports facility, will come up in Wazirabad village soon.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
