Gurugram: 18-year-old thrashed brutally after row over uploading fight video on Instagram

An 18-year-old youth was reportedly thrashed with iron rods and sticks by a group of men after an alleged argument over sharing a video clip on Instagram in Gurugram.
In a horrific incident, an 18-year-old youth was reportedly thrashed by a group of men with iron rods and sticks over an alleged Instagram post in Gurugram. The minor from Sakatpur village was beaten by a group of 15-20 men after he allegedly posted a video showing a fight between two boys.
The accused had reportedly asked the victim, Mohit, to delete the social media post, which led to an altercation. The victim received multiple injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
A report published in the Indian Express revealed that the incident happened on Thursday afternoon when Mohit Khan was going out with his friends.
In his complaint, Mohit alleged that one of the accused Sitesh called him and asked about his location. Within a few minutes, Sitesh, Nikhil and a group of 15-20 men arrived at the spot on motorbikes and cars.
As per the reports, the main accused beat the victim with iron rods and sticks and his aides attacked Mohit on his head. The victim also alleged that one of the accused, Nikhil, put a gun on his head and threatened to kill him the next time. The accused left the victim in an injured condition and fled from the spot.
According to a report published in the Times of India (TOI), Mohit was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital and was later shifted to a private hospital for treatment.
The victim's father, Mustafa, was quoted by the TOI as saying that his son had received a WhatsApp video showing Nikhil and Sitesh fighting with each other.
