A grenade was hurled at a team of Assam government officials in Cachar district by suspected miscreants of neighbouring Mizoram on Saturday.
A grenade was hurled at a team of Assam government officials in Cachar district by suspected miscreants of neighbouring Mizoram on Saturday when an eviction drive against illegal encroachment was going on. Though no casualty was reported in the incident at Dholai Dholakhal locality, senior police officials have rushed to the spot to assess the situation.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
