Great hero of 20th century: Yogi Adityanath remembers VD Savarkar on birth anniversary

UP CM Yogi Adityanath released the book 'Veer Savarkar - Who Could Stop the Partition of India and His National Security Vision' on Saturday. Remembering the late patriot, Yogi Adityanath called Veer Savarkar “the great hero of the twentieth century”.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to Veer Savarkar on his birth anniversary on Saturday, May 28. CM Yogi Adityanath lauded Vinayak Damodar Savarakar for his contributions to India’s freedom movement and called him the “great hero of the twentieth century”.
UP CM Yogi Adityanath was in Lucknow to release the book 'Veer Savarkar - Who Could Stop the Partition of India and His National Security Vision' on his birth anniversary.
The UP CM talked about how Veer Savarkar was never given the honour he deserved after independence and was instead given two life sentences.
He added, “Veer Savarkar did not even get his ancestral property till 1960. The word ‘Hindutva’ was coined by Veer Savarkar. Many words of Hindi vocabulary are attributed to Veer Savarkar. But the government of that time compared him with Jinnah.”

Yogi Adityanath hit out at Congress and said, “If Congress had accepted what Veer Savarkar used to say, the country would have been saved from the tragedy of partition.”
Calling him “the great hero of the twentieth century”, Yogi Adityanath said, “There was no greater revolutionary, writer, poet, philosopher than him.”
