Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Raut on Saturday said that he too was offered to join rebel group of MLAs in Guwahati, however, he denied the offer.
Amid the turnover of Maharashtra political scenario, Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Raut on Saturday said that he too was offered to join the rebel group of MLAs in Guwahati. However, he refused, as he followed Balasaheb Thackeray.
“I went with confidence to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) because I know that I haven’t done anything wrong. And hence I went inside for 10 hours and returned. I could have also gone to Guwahati but I am a sainik of Balasaheb. When the truth is on your side, why fear?" Sanjay Raut said.
He further said that Eknath Shinde is not a Shiv Sena CM. Uddhav Thackeray has made it clear now. This is the BJP's strategy to weaken Shiv Sena as they want to reduce its power in Mumbai. And that is why he has been made the chief minister.

"On Friday, there was a meeting of the Sena MPs and it was seen what the feelings of these people are. The real Shiv sainik will not give in to any temptation. The real Shiv Sena is with Uddhav Thackeray," he noted.
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Friday appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to record his statement in an alleged money laundering case, and left after more than ten hours. He answered all questions, and would appear before the central agency again if summoned, he told reporters.
The ED had summoned the Rajya Sabha member for questioning in the money laundering probe linked to the re-development of a Mumbai 'chawl' (tenement) and related financial transactions involving his wife and friends.
