Gold weighing as much as PM Modi's mom gifted to Kashi Vishwanath

Gold equal to the weight of PM Modi’s mother was donated to beautify the inner wall of Kashi VIshwanath Temple.

A businessman from South India has donated a little over forty kilos of gold — equal to the weight of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heera Ben, to the Kashi Vishwanath temple, sources said.

The main temple and the inner walls are completely covered in a layer of gold.

On December 13, 2021, PM Modi renovated the Kashi Vishwanath temple. The mega project is expected to boost tourism in Varanasi.

"This is a confluence of ancient and new," PM Modi said while addressing the inauguration ceremony.
