Gold prices on Friday fell marginally on the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX), while on the other hand, Silver traded marginally higher today. In international markets, gold fell down on Thursday. According to Good Returns, the gold rate for one gram of 22-carat fell by Rs 1, taking the price to Rs 4,447 from Rs 4,448. The price of silver also observed a slight drop of Rs 11 per 10 grams, taking the price from Rs 675 to Rs 686. Across the country, you will observe variations in gold prices. Different metropolitan areas will show different prices of gold today. In Delhi, for 10 grams of 22-carat, you will have to pay Rs 45,670 but for 24-carat gold 10 grams, the cost remains at Rs 49,870. The price of 10 grams of 22-carat for Mumbai is Rs 44,470. In Kolkata, if you want to invest in 10 grams of 22-carat gold, then you will have to pay Rs 46, 420. The international price of gold stands at USD 1,766 which is a slight increase from the previous day’s USD 1,784.80.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
