
Gold, silver prices rise on MCX today; check latest rates here

While the price of gold futures observed a marginal hike of 0.37 per cent on MCX, silver rates increased by 0.67 per cent. Check out the city-wise gold and silver prices on May 26, 2021.
Gold and silver prices are trading on the higher side today. As per the rates on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the price of gold futures maturing on June 4 stands at Rs 49,067 per 10 grams, observing a hike of Rs 182 or 0.37 per cent. The silver prices maturing on July 5 stands at Rs 72,500 per kg. It recorded a hike of Rs 482 or 0.67 per cent on May 26. After observing a dip on Tuesday, where gold futures traded at Rs 48,425 per 10 gram and silver at Rs 71,510 per kg, both the precious metals have witnessed a marginal hike on the MCX. The gold market closed at Rs 48,867 whereas silver stood at Rs 72,140 when the market shut on Tuesday. In India, both gold and silver prices have been affected due to the rapid spread of coronavirus. Usually, the metal prices in the country are determined by keeping international prices as the basis. Other than that, various factors such as the value of the rupee against the dollar and global demand play a key role in determining the trends observed in the rate of precious metals.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
