
Global flavours shine at international food festival in Vizag

Experience global flavors at Vizag's 'World Flavours' food festival, celebrating cultural unity through authentic international cuisines.
The lawns of the Andhra University (AU) Convention Centre turned into a global culinary hub on Sunday as international students hosted the ‘World Flavours – One University’ food festival. Organised as part of the university’s centenary celebrations, the event was held in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC).
Andhra University vice-chancellor G.P. Rajasekhar inaugurated the festival.
Addressing the gathering, he highlighted that the event serves as a platform to foster global unity and cultural exchange through the universal language of food.
International students from 38 different countries currently pursuing various courses at the university participated in the festival. Dedicated stalls were set up where students personally prepared and served traditional delicacies from their home countries, offering visitors a rare chance to sample authentic global cuisines.
Complementing the international spread, an additional 18 stalls were established with the support of the AU Department of Food and Nutrition and the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC).
A diverse range of vegetarian snacks and regional favourites, healthy and nutritious indigenous food options were displayed at the event.
