George Clooney has a confession about his black-dyed hair era.
The actor showed up to the 78th Annual Tony Awards on Sunday with his natural gray hair after previously dyeing it black while portraying Edward R. Murrow in Broadway’s “Good Night, and Good Luck,” which ran from March 12 through Sunday.
And, according to the star, his wife, Amal Clooney, was the “happiest person” after he transitioned back to his signature salt-and-pepper look.
“Oh man, my wife was the happiest person when I came home after the play today and I’d cut all the hair off,” Clooney, a first-time Tony Awards nominee, told People.
Reflecting on his drastic change in appearance, Clooney likened his former look to “a drug dealer with that bad black dye job.”
