"The level of sycophancy to the Dear Leader is staggering," one viewer wrote.
Lisa Boothe, who co-hosted Fox News’ “The Big Weekend Show” on Sunday, had an over-the-top take on celebrities at the U.S. Open men’s final with President Donald Trump in attendance. (Watch the video below.)
Panelists acknowledged there were “some jeers” for the president and debated the intent of a mandate for broadcasters to “refrain from showcasing any disruptions or reactions in response to the president’s attendance in any capacity.”
Then the longtime Fox News contributor veered into what one viewer called an extreme level of toadyism when she fretted over the presence of famous Trump critics.
“I did get a little nervous looking at the crowd when you see people like Danny DeVito, who’s been really negative on President Trump, or Pink, who has said really terrible things about Trump supporters in the past,” Boothe said. “Or even Steph Curry, who refused a visit to the White House in 2017 after leading the Golden State Warriors to the NBA championship at the time when President Trump was in office.”
She continued: “But I think all in all, it went well. ... I’m sure he had a great time, and I think a good time was had by all.”
