
Former Congress MLA Rupjyoti Kurmi joins BJP

Rupjyoti Kurmi, who recently quit Congress recently, has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in presence of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Rupjyoti Kurmi, who recently quit Congress, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma in Dhemaji today. Rupjyoti Kurmi who was elected to the Assam Legislative Assembly from Mariani constituency in Jorhat district had resigned from the Congress on June 18. He also tendered his resignation as a member of the Assam Assembly to Speaker Biswajit Daimary.More Related News

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
