Former Congress MLA Asif Mohammad Khan was arrested in Delhi on Saturday after he allegedly abused and assaulted on-duty staff of the South Delhi Municipal Corporation.
Former Congress MLA Asif Mohammad Khan was arrested in Delhi on Saturday after he allegedly abused and assaulted on-duty staff of the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), the police said. He has been sent to judicial custody for seven days. Earlier, a video surfaced in which Asif Mohammad Khan could purportedly be seen caning four men. He accused the men of removing hoardings and posters put up by him.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
