For violation of Covid-safety guidelines in Delhi, Rs 86.33 lakh was realised as fine in a day on December 28. A total of 69 FIRs were also lodged in this connection.
Among all 11 districts, most cases of people not wearing masks were seen in North (739) and East Delhi (638) on December 28. Other cases included people not wearing masks and not maintaining physical distance.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
