Flex boards praising Kerala CPI(M) leader P. Jayarajan surface in Kannur after Madurai party congress snub
Following the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] party congress that concluded in Madurai on Sunday, flex boards praising senior leader P. Jayarajan have appeared in parts of Kannur, Kerala, signalling dissatisfaction over his exclusion from the party’s central committee.
The boards, seen in party stronghold areas such as Kakoth and RV Metta, feature Mr. Jayarajan’s image alongside the phrase ‘Comrade born like god in pillars and rust’, a statement interpreted as a symbolic protest against the leadership’s decision.
The display has stirred speculation within party circles and among political observers as it reflects visible discontent from grassroots supporters.
While there has been no official word from Mr. Jayarajan or the party leadership regarding the posters, the move hints at an undercurrent of protest within the party ranks following the high-level organisation reshuffle.
