
Five teams formed by DTCP to enforce construction ban in Gurugram

Five teams have been formed by the department of town and country planning (DTCP) to enforce the construction ban in Gurugram.
In view of the high levels of pollution, the department of town and country planning (DTCP) has formed 5 teams to strengthen the construction ban imposed by the Haryana government. Teams have been formed to ensure that the ban on all construction and development activities in the city is enforced. DTCP has also issued directions to developers to stop construction activities in private licensed colonies and the ongoing projects till Wednesday.
According to a report published in the Hindustan Times (HT), all the five teams will keep an eye on any kind of individual construction activity in around 30 licensed colonies. It will also check that the norms imposed by the National Green Tribunal to check pollution are not violated.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
