CPIM general secretary Sitaram Yechury alleged there was some "fishy business" in the Rafale fighter jet deal between the Indian government and Dassault Aviation that needs to be probed by a Joint Parliamentary Committee.
Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Sitaram Yechury on Sunday took aim at the Centre over the Rafale deal and renewed the call for a Joint Parliamentary Committee to investigate the allegations of corruption. “Rafael investigation in France reconfirms the apprehension about the deal, therefore that has to be thoroughly investigated in India itself. For that, in September 2018, we had suggested a constitution of a Joint Parliamentary Committee to investigate the role of the PM and all the other in the matters. The CPIM reiterates the demand,” said Yechury.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.
