FIR lodged against former Assam NRC coordinator Prateek Hajela

An NGO in Assam approached CID and filed a complaint against former NRC coordinator Prateek Hajela, accusing him of manipulating the family tree verification during the NRC updating exercise.

An NGO has filed a complaint against former coordinator of the National Register of Citizens (NRC), Prateek Hajela, levelling corruption charges against him. In a complaint lodged with Assam CID on June 21, Assam Public Works (APW) claimed that Hajela and his associates manipulated the family tree verification during the updating process.
