Father, uncle attacked in Lucknow court: DHFL promoter Kapil Wadhawan’s son

Yes Bank-DHFL scam accused Kapil Wadhawan's son alleged that his father and uncle were attacked in Lucknow court.
A Mumbai special court has issued a request letter along with production warrants for DHFL promoters, Kapil Wadhawan and Dheeraj Wadhawan, co-accused in the DHFL-Yes Bank scam case.
The lawyers of both Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawan had approached the Mumbai court along with Kapil's son Kartik, pointing out that various incidents took place at Lucknow and the long medical background of both accused was also put forth in the court.
Kartik, in his affidavit, also stated that his father and uncle were attacked within the campus of Lucknow court.
Earlier, the CBI had taken both Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawan from the Taloja Central Prison in Navi Mumbai to Lucknow without the requisite permission from the Mumbai court, in whose custody the duo was.
The production warrants have been issued to Special Court, Anti-Corruption (Central Bureau of Investigation), Lucknow West, through Senior Superintendent of Jail, District Jail, Lucknow, to produce them before the Mumbai court on June 17.
Special Judge MG Deshpande while going through the applications said that he carefully examined the plea and "It appears that the court at Lucknow is not made aware of the previous history of these accused persons, medical aid provided to them and the recent order of the High Court for medical aid in respect of accused Dheeraj Wadhawan. Regarding the alleged attack on both accused in Lucknow court and the sworn statement made by Kartik Wadhawan, I am of the opinion that he may bring these facts to the notice of the Court at Lucknow."The court noted that there are four PMLA cases pending against the Wadhawans along with some CBI cases too.Further pointing to the irregularities, Judge Deshpande noted, "When a production warrant was issued by the Lucknow CBI court, the letter or any intimation to this court was not given, when both accused are undertrial prisoners, undergoing judicial custody in respect of the four cases.”The judge went through the report of Superintendent, Taloja jail which clearly indicated that production warrant was given to him and he, then following the directions therein, contacted the party providing agency, arranged the police staff and honoured the production warrant. The superintendent did file a report about Wadhawan's being taken away to Lucknow. However, the court received the report only after they had been taken away.Judge Deshpande further noted, "Of course, the court cannot restrict the requirement of any accused for the investigation or trial, pending before another court or even out of state. Yet, the procedure warrants that the court under whose judicial custody the accused are, requires to be informed about such a transfer and production. However, this court, till date, did not receive any communication from the Special CBI Court, Lucknow."The court noted that an officer of Mumbai police, Assistant Commissioner of Police Shashank Sandbhor, had to record the statement of Dheeraj Wadhawan on May 26. However, before it could be done, Wadhawan was taken away to Lucknow.
