Father rapes 10-year-old daughter, arrested

A man was arrested for allegedly raping his 10-year-old daughter in Surat district of Gujarat.
The Surat police arrested a man for allegedly raping his 10-year-old daughter.
According to the police officials, the girl was found in a pool of blood and injuries on her private part. She underwent surgery and received four stitches and is currently admitted to the ICU ward.
The girl was staying with her parents and two younger siblings. The family had migrated to Surat in search of work. The incident came to light when the girl's mother returned home and found her daughter in a pool of blood. The police were notified immediately and the girl was taken to the hospital.
The police made several teams to nab the accused. Initially, the girl told that an unknown person with long hair and possibly of Nepal origin raped her and escaped. However, the police did not buy the girl's story. They checked the nearby CCTV footage and found the girl's uncle and father coming to the house. The police then rounded up both of them.
After a detailed interrogation by the police, the father accepted his crime. The police officials said the father had allegedly raped the girl and threatened her not to say his name and tell a false story to police and the doctor.
