Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait, in his maiden visit to Odisha, reiterated his demand for withdrawal of farm laws and said there will be no compromise on minimum support price (MSP). Rakesh Tikait on Friday held a Mahapanchayat in Chandikhol, 50 kms from Odisha's Bhubaneswar and urged people to support the farmers agitation against the three agricultural laws by Centre. Tikait also urged the ruling BJD government in Odisha to support the farmers' stir to withdraw the farm laws.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
