Ensure jobs of Tamils not taken away by others: Tamil Nadu MLA to state govt

Tamil Nadu MLA T Velmurugan said the influx of people from other states in Tamil Nadu will rob the natives of opportunities at work and in trade. This might even bring about change in the culture here, he said.

Tamil Nadu MLA T Velmurugan wrote to the state government urging it to curb the influx of people from other states by introducing the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system to ensure that the jobs of Tamils are not taken away.

In his letter, T Velmurugan, the founder of the Tamizhaga Vazhvurimai Katchi party, said the 'Inner Line Permit' system is required to make sure that jobs meant for Tamils are not taken away.
