Sachin Tendulkar reserved special praise for Jasprit Bumrah after his Man Of The Match performance against England in the first ODI on Tuesday.
India thrashed the hosts in the first game of the series by ten wickets and Bumrah was the chief architect of the win. The Indian pacer ran through the English lineup and ended the day with figures of six for 19 as England folded for just 110 runs. Bumrah dismissed Jason Roy, Joe Root and Liam Livingstone for ducks in the match.
The Indian pacer received a lot of praise from the fans and the cricketing world, with Tendulkar being the latest. The legendary batter took to Twitter and praised India's pace attack for their top performance in the first game and hailed Bumrah as 'phenomenal.'
"The Oval pitch has great bounce but the Indian bowlers bowled the right lengths & that made all the difference. A great bowling performance by India’s pace attack, especially Bumrah who was just phenomenal," said Tendulkar.
