The Election Commission will meet Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan on Monday to take stock of the Covid-19 situation in India.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) will meet Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan on December 27, Monday to take stock of the Covid-19 situation in the country.
The move comes ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in five states, amid concerns of a rise in the Omicron variant of coronavirus. The assembly elections are likely to be held in February-March.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
