Elderly woman death case: Owner of pitbull to face action from Lucknow Municipal Corporation

The Lucknow Municipal Corporation decided to take legal action against the owner of the pitbull dog that killed his 82-year-old mother on Tuesday. The dog has been shifted to Nagar Nigam's animal birth control centre.
The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) decided to take legal action against the owner of the pitbull dog that killed his 82-year-old mother in the Kaiserbagh area of Lucknow on Tuesday morning.
The civic body has shifted the dog to Nagar Nigam's animal birth control centre. He will be kept in observation by four members of the panel to examine his behaviour.
The LMC officials had also ordered a probe into the incident and the license of the owner would be suspended.
The incident took place on Tuesday when the dog owner, Amit, had gone to the gym. His mother, Sushila Tripathi, was attacked by their pet dog named Brownie.
Later, when her son returned home, he found her lying in a pool of blood. She was rushed to the Balrampur hospital where she succumbed due to excessive loss of blood.
The post-mortem reports revealed that nearly 12 severe wounds from neck to abdomen were found on Sushila's body.
As per the guidelines of the LMC, named Swan License Control and Regulation Bye-law 2003, it's compulsory for dog owners to keep a license.
