Elderly vegetable vendor raped by neighbour in Delhi, stabbed 25 times

An elderly vegetable vendor in East Delhi was raped and murdered by her neighbour. The woman was stabbed 25 times.

A 32-year-old man in East Delhi raped his 62-year-old neighbour, who was a vegetable vendor, inside her house and later stabbed her to death. The accused stabbed the victim 25 times after raping her. The vegetable vendor was assaulted and killed in East Delhi’s New Ashok Nagar area. The 32-year-old neighbour has been arrested and a probe later revealed that he stabbed her 25 times. Police have said they received information on June 13 at 2:56 am at the New Ashok Nagar Police station saying an elderly woman had been admitted to the Dharamshila Hospital.
