The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has opposed a plea filed by ex-Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's personal secretary Sanjeev Palande, seeking to quash a money laundering case against him.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has vehemently opposed a plea filed by the former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's personal secretary Sanjeev Palande, seeking to quash a money laundering and corruption case against him lodged by the agency.
The agency has filed a reply in an affidavit which has been filed by Tassine Sultan, investigating officer of the case against Deshmukh in which Palande, Deshmukh's personal assistant Kundan Shinde and many others, including former Mumbai cop Sachin Vaze are shown as accused.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
