Eight properties owned by Bihar Naxal leader Rambabu Ram and his kin have been attached by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in an extortion case.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached eight properties of Bihar Naxal leader Rambabu Ram in an extortion case. Rambabu Ram is an active leader of the banned Left-Wing Extremist (LWE) and Militant Naxalite Organization CPI (Maoist) of Madhuban, East Champaran. ED had initiated its investigation on the basis of 28 FIRs lodged in various police stations across Bihar. Charge-sheets were later filed against Rambabu Ram and his family members in this regard.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
