
EC issues notice to BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma for remarks about Hagrama Mohilary

The EC issued a show cause notice to BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma for allegedly making threatening remarks against Hagrama Mohilary.
The Election Commission of India on Thursday issued a show cause notice to senior BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma. EC asks Assam Min Himanta B Sarma for explanation by 2nd April over his statement at a rally regarding which Congress had complained to EC that he "openly threatened Hagrama Mohilary, Bodoland People's Front Chairperson & INC ally of sending him to jail by misuing Central Agency" pic.twitter.com/fPtQijdxJ6 The notice was issued by the EC following a complaint filed by the Congress party against Himanta Biswa Sarma for allegedly making threatening remarks against opposition leader Hagrama Mohilary of the Bodoland People's Front.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
