Senior DMK leader A Raja has been barred from campaigning by the EC over his remarks against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswamy.
The Election Commission has barred DMK leader A Raja from campaigning in the state for 48 hours. The poll body also delisted A Raja’s name from the list of star campaigners for the DMK. EC reprimands DMK leader A Raja for violation of model code of conduct, delists his name from list of star campaigner of DMK & debars him from campaigning for 48 hrs with immediate effect upon not finding his reply regarding his remarks over Tamil Nadu CM&his mother,satisfactory. pic.twitter.com/6gosJewxUm The action against the senior DMK leader came after the poll body found him guilty of violating the Model Code of Conduct by making derogatory remarks about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami. In its order, the EC reprimanded A Raja for violation of the MCC, delisted his name from the list of star campaigners of the DMK and debarred him from campaigning for 48 hours "with immediate effect."More Related News
