Senior DMK leader A Raja has been barred from campaigning by the EC over his remarks against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswamy.
The Election Commission has barred DMK leader A Raja from campaigning in the state for 48 hours. The poll body also delisted A Raja’s name from the list of star campaigners for the DMK. In its order, the EC reprimanded A Raja for violation of the MCC, delisted his name from the list of star campaigners of the DMK and debarred him from campaigning for 48 hours "with immediate effect."
