Congress leaders criticize BJP MP Eatala Rajender for objectionable remarks against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, demand apology and withdrawal.
Congress leaders, including Makthal MLA Vakiti Srihari Mudiraj, have slammed BJP MP from Malkajgiri Eatala Rajender for his reported objectionable remarks against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, Mr. Vakiti Srihari expressed his disappointment over Mr. Rajender’s comments. “We learned politics from the ‘humble leader’ Eatala Rajender. We never thought we would have to speak out against those we looked up to politically. Mr. Rajender’s language is unbecoming of a mature leader,” he said.
The Congress MLA questioned the basis of Mr. Rajender’s claims, asking if welfare schemes like loan waivers, bonuses to paddy farmers, or providing fine variety rice to the people would bring down the Revanth Reddy led Congress government in the State.
Youth Congress Hyderabad president Mote Rohit also flayed Mr. Rajender, alleging that he joined the BJP to protect his assets. “He named his son as Eatala Nikhil Reddy, though he claims to be Mudiraj. If the BJP is strong in Telangana, it’s because they are singing KCR’s tune,” Mr. Rohit added. He demanded that Mr. Rajender tender apology to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
