Dramatic body camera footage captured the tense moments after a drunk Texas father shot and killed his daughter following an argument over President Trump.
Wine-drunk dad Kris Harrison, who escaped manslaughter charges after fatally shooting his 23-year-old daughter, Lucy Harrison, last year, told police that he whipped out the Glock 9mm pistol after she asked him if he had a gun.
“She said, ‘Do you have a gun?’ And I said, ‘Yes.’ I got it out and it just went off as she stood there, like as I pulled it out it went off,” the father explained in the video, which was released by the Cheshire Coroner’s Court.
Lucy Harrison was visiting from the UK when she was shot in the chest on Jan. 10, 2025, by her father at his home in Prosper, about 35 miles north of Dallas.
Kris Harrison, who moved to the US when his daughter was a child, later admitted that he was an alcoholic who had relapsed and had thrown back three glasses of wine on the day of the shooting, the BBC reported.
He told police in the bodycam footage that he pulled out the gun — which he said he kept in a locked box in a bedside cabinet — just as Lucy was about to go to the airport to go back to the UK.
