
Drone detected from Pakistan repulsed by BSF in Jammu’s Arnia; 1 terrorist killed along LOC

BSF troops fired at a drone coming from Pakistan in the Arnia area. Meanwhile, one terrorist who was trying to infiltrate along the Line of Control was killed in the Rajouri district in Jammu.
The Border Security Force (BSF) troops fired at a drone coming from Pakistan in Jammu’s Arnia on Saturday, after which it returned immediately.
A drone coming from the Pakistani side was observed in the Arnia area of RS Pura sub-division at 7:25 pm on May 7.
The drone had hardly crossed the international border when the alert BSF troops opened fire. The troops had fired eight rounds at the drone, following which, it returned immediately.
After this, the BSF troops conducted a search for any further movement of drones in the area but nothing suspicious was found, sources said.
Last month, BSF had shot down a drone coming from Pakistan in Amritsar, Punjab.
Meanwhile, an alert Army patrol eliminated a terrorist trying to infiltrate along the Line of Control in the Lam sector of Rajouri district in Jammu. The body of the terrorist along with items for survival have been recovered.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
