The circular was issued by the Devaswom Deputy Commissioner, which said, “It has come to the notice of the Devaswom probe officials that RSS sakhas and mass drill are being conducted at various locations which are control of the Devaswom Board.” According to the Devaswom regulations, physical exercise with or without weapons is not permissible with the temple premises. The circular also says that the office has observed that the administrative officers and sub group officers haven't considered these and aided the politicising of temples within the Devaswom.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
