'Don't drag RSS into this': Speaker Kageri tells protesting K'taka Congress leaders

Speaker Kageri took strong exception to Congress MLAs raising anti-RSS slogans on the floor of the house. The slogans were raised during a protest against minister KS Eshwarappa's remark on the national flag.
Karnataka Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri expressed his firm disapproval over Congress MLAs shouting anti-RSS slogans in the house.
According to reports, Speaker Kageri told Congress members the Chair will not allow them to drag Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) into political discourse.
The Congress leaders were reportedly protesting against BJP leader and minister KS Eshwarappa for his 'saffron flag' remark. The Rural Development minister had earlier said that in future, saffron flag could fly in place of the tricolour on Red Fort.
Speaker Kageri said, “RSS is a nationalist organisation involved in organising the Hindu society in order to make the country strong. You should join hands with the RSS in its efforts. Instead, you are shouting anti-RSS slogans inside the Assembly which has no relevance to your political discourse. I will not allow you to use the Assembly to shout anti-RSS slogans."
He also asked the Congress members to settle their political disputes without dragging the RSS into their discussions.
