Dokka Seethamma Mid-day Meal Scheme benefits 5,600 students in Visakhapatnam district, launched by government officials.

Around 5,600 students from 10 government Intermediate colleges are going to be benefitted by the ‘Dokka Seethamma Mid-day Meal Scheme’ which was launched in the Intermediate colleges in Visakhapatnam district on Saturday.
The district in-charge Minister Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy launched the programme in a college at Yendada along with District Collector Harendhira Prasad.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the State government has launched the programme keeping in view the interests of students. The government is very keen to provide all amenities to the students and strive for their bright future, he said and urged students to focus on studies and achieve greater heights. After the launch, the Minister served food to the students and had lunch with them.
Home Minister V. Anitha launched the mid-day meal programme in a Government Junior Intermediate College at Sabbavaram in Anakapalli district. Pendurthi MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu, Anakapalli collector Vijaya Krishnan and others were present.
Ms Anitha created awareness on the consequences of ganja abuse and smuggling among the youth. Later, she had lunch with the students.
